Emergency School Closure
Food Service Plan for Students:
Students can pick up a Grab and Go Lunch and Breakfast for the following day at the following locations/times, Monday through Friday for the duration of the closure:
Cimarron Elementary Cafeteria (West side of building): 11:00 am - 1:00 pm daily
Eagle Nest School (front of the building): 11:30 am - 12:30 pm daily
Angel Nest Apartments (front of the building): 11:45 am - 12:00 pm daily
Angel Skye Apartments (front of the building): 12:00 pm - 12:15 pm daily
Lowe's grocery store (front of the building): 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm daily
*If a school age child has siblings in the home, they are all eligible to receive a lunch.
If you will be unable to get to a serving site, please leave message at 575-376-2445 ext. 103 . Please identify the students name, address, and number of lunches.

Earlier today, Governor Michele Lujan Grisham ordered all public schools in NM to close for a period of 3 weeks beginning on Monday, March 16 through Friday April 3. Cimarron Municipal Schools will be complying with that order and will be closed. We have been instructed by NMPED that instructional time missed will need to be made up following the end of the school year.
In order to be proactive Cimarron Schools is taking the following steps to continue regular school operations while reducing the threat of infection. Effective immediately:

School-sponsored staff and student travel is cancelled.

All extracurricular events and community gatherings will be postponed or cancelled (This includes dances, plays, band, 4-H, PeeWees)
The Board of Education will be conducting a Work Session on Monday, March 16 at 5:00 pm. Due to the restriction on group gatherings, we will be conducting this meeting over a conference call.
